The Gold Standard in Floor Coating Technology

Polyurea is the latest advancement in floor coating technology, utilized for over 25 years in industrial applications — pipe coatings, tank linings, water treatment plants, and automotive OEM parts. Now available for your garage, basement, or commercial floor.

Our Midwest-based manufacturer produces these systems specifically for Minnesota conditions — they know firsthand what freeze-thaw cycles, road salt, and liquid de-icers do to concrete. The result is a coating that doesn’t just survive Minnesota winters — it thrives in them.

The 3-Part Polyurea System — Layer by Layer

Every layer in our polyurea system serves a specific purpose. Understanding what goes into the floor helps explain why it outperforms every alternative on the market.

Why Every Layer Matters

Each layer is engineered to work with the one above and below it. Skipping or shortcutting any layer is why other coatings fail.

Polyaspartic Topcoat

VOC-free, high-gloss clear coat. 100% UV stable — won't fade, yellow, or chalk whether installed indoors or in direct sunlight. Provides the final seal and surface hardness.

Vinyl Chip Broadcast

Decorative chips are broadcast into the wet base coat at full coverage. Available in 1/4", 1/8", and 1/16" sizes with nearly unlimited custom color blends from our manufacturer.

Polyurea Base Coat

The core of the system. 98% solids, 2-part polyurea delivers extreme flexibility, impact resistance, and adhesion. This is what makes polyurea 20× stronger and 98% more flexible than standard epoxy.

Diamond Grinding Prep

We use commercial-grade diamond grinders with vacuum systems to open the concrete profile to CSP 2–3. This is the most critical step — a coating is only as good as the surface it bonds to.

Common Questions

How long does a polyurea installation take?

Most residential garage floors are completed in a single day. We arrive in the morning, complete all prep work including diamond grinding and crack repair, apply the full coating system, and are typically done by afternoon. You can walk on the floor in 4–6 hours.

Our products are ultra-low to zero VOC, meaning minimal odor during and after installation. The cured floor is completely safe for families and pets.

Yes — crack and pit repair is included in our standard installation process. We use premium polyurea fillers to repair all surface defects before applying the coating system.

How soon can I drive on my new floor?

You can drive and park vehicles on your new polyurea floor within 24–36 hours of installation. The floor reaches full cure at 72 hours, after which it has reached its full rated performance specifications.

Exceptionally well — that’s specifically why our manufacturer is based in the Twin Cities. Polyurea is 98% more flexible than epoxy, allowing it to flex with the natural movement of concrete during freeze-thaw cycles without cracking or peeling. It also resists road salt, liquid de-icers, and ice melt chemicals.

Yes. Our polyurea formula is ultra-low to zero VOC, meaning there’s no harsh smell during installation or afterward. It’s significantly safer for your family, pets, and our installation crew than standard epoxy products, which typically have high VOC content.

Polyurea floors are extremely easy to maintain. For routine cleaning, sweep or blow off debris, then mop with a neutral cleaner and warm water. Avoid harsh acidic or alkaline cleaners. The smooth, sealed surface means spills wipe up easily and won’t stain or absorb into the coating.
